HOME – Short Movie
In our movie project, the task was to learn about common filming and editing tools. For this purpose, we wanted to create an atmospheric short movie with an additional interview and making-of part.
Despite the trend of flying away to other countries for some nice video shots or Instagram pictures, we made it our mission to show how beautiful nature is around us. The message we want to share is that no matter where you live – you don’t have to travel far to have adventures and see great places. Enjoy your home with all its details and learn to appreciate the places near you. We filmed everything in the region of the Lake Constance, Germany.
To give our message even more depth and access to thoughts and emotions, we also recorded a voiceover separately in the sound studio for the final movie in collaboration with the native speaker Kristian Gonzalez.
In our making of movie we talk about our individual feelings of attachment to what we experienced, we show some of the footage and details that went into making this short movie.
We made many trips to different places, had a lot of fun and also experienced in the process many weather conditions. We always filmed with three to four cameras at the same time from different perspectives and also tried different equipment to find out what works best for our realization. So in the end we had some learnings and overall a really good time doing it.
